Dr. Ellen Marmur is the Founder of Marmur Medical, Associate Clinical Professor of both the Departments of Dermatology and Genetics and Genomic Research at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and author of Simple Skin Beauty. She specializes in general dermatology, cosmetic surgery, MOHS micrographic surgery and research. Dr. Marmur earned her degrees in medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital with distinction in research on melanoma vaccines and the Alpha Omega Alpha award. In addition to her notable contributions, Dr. Marmur is most passionate about raising awareness and educating others about a disease that has touched her personally, twice – skin cancer.
